Iceland’s largest newspaper, Fréttablaðið nominated Siðmennt for one of its Community Service Awards, which they presented for the second year in a row at a large award presentation ceremony. The awards are given in several different categories. Siðmennt received a framed certificate of recognition which stated, among other things: „The organization has created and developed a civil confirmation program in Iceland which has attracted special attention for its ethical education classes for teenagers.“
